This is me trying to get out of the box and experiment with recipes I would normally find of my league or too different from what I am used to cook. My love for good food makes trying with new textures and flavors such a pleasure. The first time I made a galette I thought it was an absolute triumph even if it was not exactly the right shape and looked a little odd. It didn't matter to me that I had to make it three times before it was acceptable to photograph it and write about it. Not to mention my first attempt to a dessert.
The whole process of trying something new and challenge my self is of tremendous value to me. It allows me to evolve as a cook as well as a person.
